Clinical observation of Shujin external granules in treating tenosynovitis of finger flexor tendons
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Shujin external granules fumigation on the tenosynovitis of finger flexor tendons. Methods: 240 cases of finger flexor tendon stenosing tenosynovitis patients according to treatment successively were randomized into warm water group、particle group and traditional Chinese medicine group,80 cases in each one. In the warm water group,we use warm water fumigation with Votalin to treat. In the particle group, the Shujin external particles fumigation with Votalin were applied. Finally,in the Chinese medicine group, herbs fumigation with Votalin were adopted. We examined and recorded the visual analogue scale(VAS)of 3 groups of patients at the begin of the treatment and the end of the 8th week of the treatment. At the same time, the clinical efficacy of 3 groups of patients were recorded at the end of the 8th week of the treatment. Results: At the end of the 8th week of the treatment, the VAS scores were higher in the particle group and the traditional Chinese medicine group than in the warm water group(P＜0.05). The clinical efficacy of particle group and the traditional Chinese medicine group were better than that in the warm water group(P＜0.05). Besides, there were no significant difference in the VAS scores and the clinical efficacy between the granule group and the traditional Chinese medicine group(P＞0.05). Conclusion: Shujin external granules fumigation for the tenosynovitis of finger flexor tendons can achieve the definite clinical efficacy and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
