The One Health Bulletin is honored to welcome Dr. Marcel Tanner, a world renowned expert on tropical medicine and public health, as a member of the Journal's Editorial Board. Dr. Tanner currently serves as the President of the Swiss Academy of Sciences and a professor of Epidemiology and Medical Parasitology at the University of Basel and the Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland. He served as the Director of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute from 1997–2015 and Chair of Epidemiology and Medical Parasitology at the University of Basel and the Federal Institute of Technology. Dr. Tanner’s research ranges from basic science research on cell biology and immunology of malaria, schistosomiasis, trypanosomiasis, and filariasis to epidemiological and public health research on risk assessment, vulnerability, health impact, and district health planning. 

The Editorial Board of One Health Bulletin sincerely welcomes Dr. Tanner as an esteemed advisory and is looking forward to his contribution to further development of the Journal.
